About
My name is Duc-Khanh (Khánh) NGUYEN. I was born in Nghe An, Vietnam. Currently, I am working as a Senior Analyst Engineer at Aurobay (Powertrain Engineering Sweden AB) - former Volvo Cars' powertrain business - in Göteborg, Sweden. My expertise lies in hybrid vehicles, energy management, internal combustion engines, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and renewable fuels. Before joining Aurobay, I worked as a Simulation Engineer at Freevalve AB - Koenigsegg Automotive Group in Ängelholm, Sweden.
I got my Ph.D. degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Ghent University, Belgium. My Ph.D. topic is the diluted combustion of Methanol in spark-ignition engines with fuel reforming using wasted exhaust heat. I earned my B.Eng. degree (5-year program) and M.Sc. degree both in Mechanical Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Vietnam) and National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan), respectively.
I have received multiple fellowships and awards including 2016 FISITA Travelling Fellowship, 2019 KAUST Travel Fellowship, and 2019 SAE Excellence in Oral Presentation Award from the SAE International.
